| AUGUST |
- Join TLA or a professional organization of your choice for librarians
- Subscribe to the TLC listserv
- Make sure you are subscribed to the Northside Librarians' Forums and that your assistant(s) is/are subscribed to the Tuesday Tips
- Review the librarian appraisal instrument and develop your Librarian Self Report
- Share Librarian Self Report with principal within the first 3 weeks of the beginning of school
- Discuss with your principal and then plan to attend the annual Region 20 Resource Roundup and the TLA conference, along with any other professional development opportunities you are aware of, especially if they align with your Librarian Self Report goals
- Review the Library Services' calendar for fall and, with your principal's approval, register for appropriate workshops, encouraging your assistant(s) to do the same
- Go over the Library Assistant Evaluation with your library assistant(s) so s/he will know what to expect and when
- Review auditors' notes regarding the collection of money
- Check inventory schedule if this is the year for you to do one
- Schedule author or storyteller visits is you will be hosting any

| SEPTEMBER |
- Update your Outreach Page on CMS
- Develop a continuous weeding plan
- Begin placing orders
- Attend the Region 20 Resource Roundup
- Watch for and reply to the query from Library Services asking if you need barcodes

| OCTOBER |
- Sign and send the receiving copy of your periodicals order to Accounts Payable
- Order new item barcodes (if needed) through a Library Services initiated group purchase
- Plan something special for your principal on Bosses' Day

| NOVEMBER |

- Last day before holidays: encumber 1/2 of your library book and AV budgets
|
| JANUARY |

| FEBRUARY |
- Consider sharing something you do well with others by offering to present this summer or next year at Resource Roundup, TCEA, TLA, Northside Library Monthly Meetings, etc.

| MARCH |
- Last day before spring break, encumber remaining 1/2 of library book and AV budgets
- Attend TLA if it is in March

| APRIL |
- Attend TLA if it is in April
|
| MAY |
- By the first Friday in May, purchase requisition for periodicals is due in Library Services
- Children's Book Week
- By May 15, End of Year Report is due
- Final due dates
- Students through 11th grade: 2 weeks prior to last day of school

- High School seniors: 3 weeks prior to last day of school
|
- Libraries remain open for service (not checkout) until the last day of school (Secondary memo; Elementary memo)
- Plan something for Teacher Appreciation Day

- Register for TGIF sessions and for eCamp
- Check Region 20 catalogue for professional development opportunities
